
V.K. Ebrahim Kunju, a senior leader of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and former Kerala Minister, passed away at 73 due to multiple myeloma, heart failure, and chronic kidney disease. He served as a four-time MLA and held ministerial portfolios for Industries and Public Works. Kunju's career began in student politics, rising to state vice-president of the IUML. He was notably involved in the Palarivattom flyover corruption case, facing arrest, though a charge sheet has not yet been filed. His funeral was held with State honours.
