
India will host the 28th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of Commonwealth (CSPOC) from January 14-16, 2026, in New Delhi. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla announced that 42 countries have confirmed participation, expecting the highest turnout in the conference's history with 61 Speakers and Presiding Officers. Discussions will focus on the future of parliamentary democracy, including technology and AI's role. Australia, Canada, and the UK will attend, while Pakistan will not.
