The BJP has broken its alliance with MLA Ravi Rana's Yuva Swabhiman Party (YSP) for the Amravati Municipal Corporation elections on January 15. The BJP cited YSP fielding candidates against BJP nominees in several wards as the reason for withdrawing support from six allotted seats. However, Ravi Rana's wife, former MP Navneet Rana, will continue campaigning for BJP candidates, maintaining her national BJP leadership role. The BJP will now support independent candidates ideologically aligned with the party.
