
In Jammu, approximately 85 Village Defence Group (VDG) members from remote border villages are undergoing intensive training. The program, launched by the Senior Superintendent of Police, covers handling automatic rifles, tactics, self-defense, and bunker construction. This initiative aims to equip VDGs, who are first responders in areas prone to infiltration and drone activity, with skills to safeguard their villages. The VDGs have welcomed the training and recent upgrades to their weaponry.
