Assam MLA Akhil Gogoi has accused the BJP of conspiring to remove anti-party voters from electoral rolls during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Gogoi claims the BJP plans to remove approximately 10,000 voters per constituency, with a minister overseeing the operation and involving government booth-level officers. The BJP state president has denied these allegations, calling them baseless and similar to past accusations, stating their instructions were to ensure genuine voters are not missed during the claims and objections process.
