The Supreme Court on Friday criticized arguments made on behalf of actor Sharmila Tagore regarding the stray dog menace, stating they were "completely removed from reality." The bench questioned submissions that not all stray dogs pose a danger, citing the example of a dog at AIIMS, and warned against glorifying their presence in hospitals due to hygiene and tick concerns. The court also dismissed proposals like color-coded collars for aggressive dogs, deeming them unrealistic for India's context.
