
The Punjab Cabinet has approved the establishment of a minority medical college by the Jain community in Lehragagga, allocating over 19 acres of land on a nominal lease rent to the Janhit Society. The college will initially have 50 MBBS seats and a 220-bed hospital, expanding to 100 seats and a 400-bed hospital within eight years. Admissions and fees will follow government regulations. The Cabinet also approved a Private Digital Open Universities Policy, extended an Amnesty Policy for plot allottees, and rationalized GMADA property prices.
