Odisha has launched the National Road Safety Month 2026 to raise awareness about traffic rules and reduce accidents. Speaker Surama Padhy inaugurated the event, which also saw the launch of the 'Ama Subahak' scheme to empower women drivers and provide bus owners with tools to monitor driver fatigue and intoxication. A new 'Road Safety Dashboard' developed with IIT Madras and a digital ticketing system, FASTicket, were also unveiled. The initiative emphasizes education, enforcement, emergency care, and engineering for improved road safety.
