Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has questioned the record number of "unopposed" victories for BJP-led Mahayuti candidates in upcoming municipal corporation elections. Raut criticized that 68 candidates, including 45 from BJP, 19 from the Shinde-led Sena, and two from Ajit Pawar's NCP, were elected before voting. He alleged that money and pressure were used to make rival candidates withdraw, citing historical examples of prominent leaders not being elected unopposed.
