Kerala has begun preparations for the 2026 Assembly elections alongside the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The Chief Electoral Officer has initiated preliminary meetings with district officials and commenced first-level checks on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) by engineers. Arrangements for security, including meetings with police and central forces, are being made. The state will have over 30,400 polling stations, with final electoral rolls to be published on February 21, though voters can still be added until the nomination deadline.
