Maharashtra's ruling Mahayuti government has granted ministerial and MoS status, along with associated pay and facilities, to its own party whips. This decision, however, excludes opposition parties, as benefits are restricted to parties with at least 10 members. Previously, these perks were extended to whips from all parties. The move effectively denies protocol, pay, and facilities to opposition whips while enhancing privileges for ruling alliance whips, including office space, staff, and vehicle allowances.
