A Vijayawada court has accepted a closure report from the Crime Investigation Department (CID) in a case alleging misappropriation of funds from the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation, resulting in a clean chit for Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The CID stated its investigation found no involvement of the Chief Minister. The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) criticized the decision, calling it a misuse of power and vowing to challenge it legally, while the CID previously alleged Naidu's involvement and diversion of funds.
