
The Delhi High Court has sought a response from the CBI on a plea by RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav challenging the framing of charges against him in the IRCTC hotel scam case. While refusing to stay the trial at this stage, the court issued a notice to the CBI and scheduled the next hearing for January 14. The case involves alleged irregularities in awarding contracts for two IRCTC hotels during Yadav's tenure as Railway Minister, with charges including cheating and criminal conspiracy.
