India has launched its e-Passport service, integrating Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips and antennas with paper documents. This hybrid passport stores personal and biometric data, adhering to International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards. The e-Passport aims to enhance data integrity, prevent forgery and fraud through digital signatures and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) security, and facilitate secure authentication by immigration officials.
