A 30-year-old man from Jalandhar, Punjab, Mandeep Kumar, has died in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. His family alleges he was forcibly recruited into the Russian army after being misled by travel agents, claiming he was physically challenged and recruited against his will. After traveling to Armenia and then Russia for employment, contact with Mandeep ceased. His family sought government assistance, and his mortal remains have since been returned to India for last rites.
