The protest on January 5 involved slogans against Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah, following the Supreme Court's denial of bail to Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam in the 2020 Delhi riots case. An FIR has been registered based on the JNU administration's complaint.
