
Violence erupted during an anti-encroachment demolition drive near Delhi's Faiz-e-Elahi Mosque, resulting in five police personnel being injured by stone-pelting. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) conducted the court-mandated demolition of illegal commercial establishments adjoining the mosque. Authorities arrested five individuals and identified 30 people involved. Samajwadi Party MP Mohibbullah Nadvi, present at the site before the clashes, is being summoned for questioning. Delhi Home Minister Ashish Sood condemned the violence, assuring the mosque's safety and emphasizing that action was limited to illegal structures.
