Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi laid the foundation stone for a new Lok Seva Bhavan (state secretariat) and Legislative Assembly building in Bhubaneswar. The integrated campus, costing an estimated ₹3,623 crore, will span 71.13 acres and is designed to accommodate up to 300 legislators, anticipating future delimitation. The project aims to replace the existing 70-year-old structures with modern facilities, including underground parking and dedicated chambers for ministers, with completion targeted by 2029 for the secretariat.
