Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee presented 10 individuals at a rally in Cooch Behar, claiming they were wrongly marked as 'dead voters' and removed from electoral rolls during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Banerjee accused the Election Commission (EC) of being a "BJP's stooge" and deliberately disenfranchising voters. He alleged that around 3.5 lakh people in Cooch Behar alone received notices due to discrepancies in the SIR. Banerjee also criticized the BJP-led central government for unfulfilled electoral promises and an alleged 'anti-Bengali' narrative.
