Gurugram saw approximately 20 out of 35 construction projects sealed under the Graded Response Action Plan (Grap) this winter for violating pollution control norms. The remaining 15 projects were sealed in Manesar. Recent actions in late December involved sealing two projects for ongoing excavation and marble-setting work without adequate dust suppression. Environmental compensation estimates totaling ₹2.8 crore have been proposed against several realtors for these violations, with final penalties pending a decision from the board's head office.
