
Kerala Devaswom Minister V.N. Vasavan announced that extensive arrangements are in place for the Makaravilakku festival at Sabarimala on January 14. Pilgrim entry will be restricted to 35,000 on the festival day, with 30,000 via virtual queue. Measures include online room bookings from January 10, photo-embedded passes to prevent misuse, and arrangements for food for early arrivals. The Transport Department will operate 900 buses, and additional police and volunteers will be deployed.
