India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has debunked social media claims suggesting the country is set to recognize Somaliland. The MEA FactCheck unit on X stated that no talks have occurred between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the President of Somaliland. Reports of Somalia recalling its ambassador to India over this alleged recognition move were also denied as false.
