AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi questioned the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's (RSS) role in India's freedom struggle, alleging its founder K.B. Hedgewar was jailed for supporting the Khilafat movement, not opposing British rule. Addressing a rally ahead of municipal polls, Owaisi criticized the BJP for using such narratives to promote its Hindutva agenda and distract from governance issues. He also denied the presence of Bangladeshis in the region, attributing any such findings to the Modi government's failure.
