Jammu and Kashmir recorded its lowest terror-related deaths in over 20 years in 2025, with 92 fatalities including civilians, security personnel, and terrorists. This figure represents a significant decline from previous years, such as 2020 which saw 232 terrorists killed and 56 security personnel fatalities. Counter-terror operations, including nearly 3,000 raids, were intensified, successfully foiling 13 infiltration attempts along the Line of Control. Despite the overall decrease, the number of foreign terrorists active in the region reportedly doubled.
