
Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and MNS chief Raj Thackeray unveiled a joint manifesto for the BMC polls, promising a Rs 1,500 monthly allowance for domestic and Koli women, 100 units of free electricity, and property tax waivers for homes up to 700 sq ft. The alliance also pledged affordable housing, improved public transport, and subsidized meals. Concurrently, Uddhav Thackeray demanded the cancellation of civic elections in wards where candidates won unopposed, alleging a threat to democracy. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis countered, stating the people's mandate would prevail.
