Delhi's Ghazipur Waste to Energy plant experienced 108 days of shutdown during the current fiscal year due to maintenance, chimney work, and GRAP restrictions. The plant, designed to handle 1,300 tonnes of waste daily for 12MW power generation, operated below capacity. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) reported these issues to the National Green Tribunal (NGT), which is monitoring waste mound clearance and plant operations.
