Delhi's air quality saw significant improvement in 2025, with Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa reporting approximately 200 days with an Air Quality Index (AQI) below 200. PM2.5 levels decreased to 96 micrograms per cubic metre from 104, and PM10 fell to 197 from 212. The government attributes this progress to a science-led approach addressing vehicular emissions, dust, industrial pollution, and waste management, resulting in the lowest number of severe air pollution days in recent years.
