Former IPS officer Amitabh Thakur, currently in Deoria district jail, has begun an indefinite hunger strike. He alleges a lack of transparency in his arrest, claiming authorities have not provided him with CCTV footage and digital video recordings from the incident at Shahjahanpur railway station despite repeated requests.
