The Supreme Court has directed the Rajasthan High Court to decide a 14-year-old land dispute case involving the family of Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari. The dispute concerns government properties once owned by Jaipur's royal family. The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) appealed to the Supreme Court after the High Court repeatedly dismissed its appeals for non-compliance with orders to deposit a Rs 400 crore amount. The Supreme Court ordered the High Court to hear the JDA's appeal on its merits within four weeks.
