For the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, 1,700 candidates have been allotted symbols. Independent candidates received free symbols such as a handcart, auto-rickshaw, coconut, and whistle, while party nominees were assigned their respective party symbols. The final list of candidates and their symbols has been published, with voting scheduled for January 15.
