Journalists' organizations in Arunachal Pradesh, including the Arunachal Press Club (APC) and Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ), met Chief Minister Pema Khandu to advocate for improved welfare and institutional support. They submitted a memorandum urging the expedited implementation of the Arunachal Pradesh Working Journalists' Pension Scheme-2020, which has faced bureaucratic delays. The delegation also sought formal recognition for five district press clubs to bolster grassroots journalism and requested official directives for district administrations to coordinate media activities through these clubs.
