Chief Justice of India Surya Kant was honored in his Haryana village, Petwar, while his alma mater, Government Post Graduate College in Hisar, published a magazine entry recognizing him as "best debater" from his 1980-81 graduating class. Separately, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh hosted a dinner for 83 youths from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, who were in Delhi for the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders' Dialogue.
