The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Punjab, led by Sunil Jakhar, announced an awareness campaign starting January 7 regarding the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025. Jakhar stated the Act aims to benefit the poor by increasing guaranteed employment days to 125 and ensuring direct wage credit, while fixing accountability for non-provision of work. He accused the AAP and Congress of opposing the scheme due to its anti-corruption measures and alleged misinformation campaigns.
