The United States has announced it will dictate decisions for Venezuela's interim government and oversee the sale of its oil reserves. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that Venezuela's interim President Delcy Rodriguez and her administration will follow US directives. Proceeds from oil sales will be held in US-controlled accounts and disbursed for the benefit of the American and Venezuelan people at the US government's discretion. Washington will selectively roll back sanctions to facilitate these sales.
