Assam Congress president Gaurav Gogoi has accused the BJP-led government of systematically destroying the state's education sector, citing the Tezpur University Vice Chancellor's removal. Gogoi claimed the university has declined since the Congress regime and alleged financial irregularities against the VC during his previous tenure at Patna University. The Union Ministry of Education has directed the VC to take immediate leave and formed a three-member panel to investigate allegations, following student protests since September.
