Sarbjit Kaur, a Sikh woman from India, remains in Pakistani custody in Lahore following delays in her deportation. She traveled to Pakistan in November 2025 for a pilgrimage, subsequently converted to Islam, adopted the name Noor Hussain, and married a Pakistani national. Her visa expired, leading to her arrest. While deportation was planned, it was halted due to pending court petitions regarding her marriage, citizenship, and safety claims, as well as a visa violation petition filed in India. She is currently in a safe house awaiting judicial decisions.
