The first phase of inspecting electronic voting machines (EVMs) for upcoming Assembly elections has begun in Kollam. District Collector N. Devidas is overseeing the process, which involves physical and technical evaluations of the machines by authorized engineers. Representatives from recognized political parties are present to observe the transparency of the First Level Checking (FLC), expected to take 25 to 30 days.
