Twelve Maoists, including senior leaders Sukka and Hidma, were killed in an encounter in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district. Officials reported that Sukka was wanted in 41 cases and Hidma in 14, with both involved in crimes like the June 9, 2025, bus explosion that killed an Additional Superintendent of Police. A large cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from the site.
