The Election Commission of India reported a significant reduction in 'logical discrepancies' within West Bengal's electoral rolls, decreasing from 1.36 crore to 94.49 lakh cases, a drop of over 41 lakh. These discrepancies include name mismatches, abnormal age gaps with parents, and inconsistencies with grandparents' ages. The commission noted that cases involving one individual linked to six voters total 23 lakh, while name mismatches account for 51 lakh.
