A female Booth Level Officer (BLO) in West Bengal's Hooghly district reported being assaulted with shoes by a Bangladeshi national after she exposed him as an illegal voter during a revision exercise. The BLO, Bimli Tudu Hansada, stated the accused, Abdul Rahim Gazi, attacked her when she informed authorities. Local TMC councillor Sheikh Ashraf Hossain offered a different account, alleging the BLO provoked the incident by confronting Gazi and his family.
