The Karnataka High Court has refused to halt the investigation into spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar regarding an FIR alleging public land encroachment in Bengaluru. Justice M Nagaprasanna stated that stalling the probe would contradict previous division bench orders for action against encroachers. The court will consider the matter further on January 12, with Ravi Shankar free to seek protection if issued a notice of investigation. The FIR was filed following a public interest litigation.
