For the first time, Ladakh's double-humped Bactrian camels and five indigenous Indian dog breeds will debut in the Republic Day parade on Kartavya Path. These Bactrian camels, adapted to extreme cold and arid conditions of Ladakh's Nubra Valley, are known for their two humps storing fat for energy and water. The featured dog breeds, including the Mudhol Hound and Rajapalayam, are being showcased by the Army's Remount Veterinary Corps, highlighting their suitability for the Indian climate.
