The Maharashtra government has approved the allocation of land at Vadhu Budruk in Pune district for the development of the samadhi site of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. In exchange, 81 acres of land at Kondhapuri will be transferred to KEM Hospital, Pune. Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule stated this decision balances historical heritage preservation with public health interests, aiming to enhance facilities for devotees visiting the sacred site.
