The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the Kolkata office of political consultancy firm I-PAC and the residence of its director in connection with a money laundering case linked to alleged coal smuggling. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee protested the raids, accusing the BJP-led Centre of misusing agencies for political vendetta and attempting to steal TMC's election strategy data. The ED alleged Banerjee interfered with the search and sought a CBI probe. The Calcutta High Court adjourned hearings on related petitions due to courtroom chaos.
