Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath met with Chinese counterpart Wang Yi for bilateral talks focused on the island nation's recovery and reconstruction following Cyclone Ditwah. Wang made a brief stopover in Sri Lanka en route home from South Africa. The cyclone, which caused over 600 deaths and widespread damage in November, has prompted international assistance, including from China and India, for rehabilitation efforts.
