The Delhi High Court has sought responses from the Directorate of Education (DoE) and Lieutenant Governor regarding petitions from minority schools challenging the Delhi School Education (Transparency in Fixation and Regulation of Fees) Act, 2025. The schools argue the law infringes on their constitutional autonomy under Article 30. While the court declined to stay the Act, it extended deadlines for forming School-Level Fee Regulation Committees (SLFRCs) to January 20 and submitting fee proposals to February 5. The Act mandates a three-tier committee system for fee approvals.
