
Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu and Industries Minister T.G. Bharath distributed ₹50,000 per hectare compensation to onion farmers in Kurnool and Kadapa districts. These farmers incurred losses due to low-quality yields from unfavorable seasonal conditions last year. The state government identified 37,752 affected farmers, depositing ₹128.33 crore into their accounts, with ₹99.92 crore reaching 31,352 farmers in Kurnool. The minister highlighted the government's commitment to agriculture despite financial challenges.
