The Delhi government is accelerating work on four major trunk drain projects, part of a revamped Drainage Master Plan, to address chronic waterlogging. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated these initiatives aim to provide long-term relief by improving rainwater discharge capacity. Projects include the Mundka Halt-Supplementary Drain, MB Road storm water drain, Kirari-Rithala trunk drain, and improvements along NH-10. The plan revises a 1970s master plan to account for urban growth and climate challenges, with one project costing an estimated Rs 220.93 crore.
