In Ambarnath, Maharashtra, Shiv Sena and NCP have formed an alliance with an Independent member to control the Municipal Council, aiming to exclude the BJP. This move follows the recent joining of 12 suspended Congress councillors into the BJP. The new coalition, with 32 members in the 60-seat body, seeks to counter the BJP's influence after the local polls where the BJP-Congress 'Ambarnath Vikas Aghadi' had initially gained a majority.
