
Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are projected to become a significant contributor to India's treasury within a decade. Speaking at the inauguration of projects worth ₹373 crore, Shah highlighted the islands' transformation from a financial drain to an economic asset under Prime Minister Modi's vision. He also reiterated confidence in India becoming the world's third-largest economy in two years, from its current fourth position.
